Figures in 1/16 Scale made from "Magic Sculp"
A figure for sure adds interest, life and scale to every model. Unfortunately especially in 1/16 scale there are rather few figures available, which are in addition mostly not adapted to a certain vehicle. That is why I have started to make my own figures from "Magic Sculp".
As it has been my plan to make castings of the figures I made, I did not make use of any aftermarket parts to avoid problems with the copyright laws.If figures shown are equipped with aftermarket parts, these were added after casting.
A description of building and painting the Pz IV commander-figure has been featured in the German "Kit Militär-Modell Journal", issue 4/2009. It was also published in the Italian "Model Time", issue 160/2009. Another article has been published in the Japanese "Armour Modelling" magazine, issue 124, February 2010. These descriptions include a comparison between oils and acrylics, for which Jörg Schulz has painted a figure with acrylics.
The German "ModellFan", issue 07/2010 features a short resuming article on sculpting and painting the figures shown.
