Hstuf. M. Wittmann, 7th. Aug. 1944
A few years ago I bought the 120mm "Wittmann & Woll" kit from Kirin. By then I only used the Woll-figure (which I reworked to a "Wehrmacht"-soldier). Besides my sense for political correctness -I usually do not build SS-men - the head included for the Wittmann-figure made me put aside the latter. Even though I loved the detail and the overall appearance of Mike Goods magnificent work I could hardly find any similarity of the head to its historical subject. So when I came over the figure again, I fitted another head, with which I tried to copy some of Wittmanns charcteristic features.
An article with further information is published in issue 124 (February 2006) of the "Tamiya Model Magazine International".
