Making the Box Art for Tamiya´s new Scenery Set No. 4
When Tamiya decided to release a new product line of four scenery sets which were to include all you need to create a small diorama in 1/35 scale the company decided to take up the tradition of using completed models as box art either.
Of course I felt honoured and proud when Tamiya asked me to build and paint one of them. But at the same time this task caused me some headache as I had to do it completely straight from the box: No use of PE- or other upgrade sets, no super-detailing, using Magic Sculp, adding seems, changing faces...absolutely nothing!
Detailed descriptions of this project are featured in the "Tamiya Modelling Magazine International", issue 152/June 2008 and in the German "Kit Militär-Modell Journal", issue 3/2008 as well as in the Italian "Steel Art" magazine issue 58/Octobre 2008. The Japanese "Armour Modelling", issue 103/May 2008 has featured another article.
